Von Maur

I'm definitely not a supporter of credit cards, I've cut all mine up so I'm not swimming in debt when I'm under 25. Buuut I have been visiting in Michigan (GO BLUE!) this past holiday weekend, and discovered a store credit card that offers no fees and no interest!!

Von Maur is only in a select few midwestern states, but have great shipping rates online. Check out these new items of mine!!

Santa Monica

I was shopping in Santa Monica yesterday and wanted to share my latest summer sale finds. You can find these at stores near you as well!

Pink ice is one of my favorite stops for cheap basics. I mentioned them in a previous post as well for cheap tanks, but here I just got a cheap cardigan! The one I picked up is 3/4 length sleeve, but they have long sleeves as well.

Another favorite store, Urban Outfitters was having a summer sale, and I got this cute top for only $29.99, usually $50!

While I'm not sure where Mango is located across the country, they do have a website to shop their cute clothes. I need to stop buying summery clothes so I picked up a fall-ish dress to wear with tights! What do you think?

Tell me about any great finds you've had success with!

Lauren Conrad

We finally have a first look at Lauren Conrad's new line for Kohl's, thanks to the September issue of Shape magazine. I think it looks pretty cute and would probably pick up a few things, they're cheap! This line comes out in October for those interested. They range in price from $20-60. Pick up the shape issue for tips from Lauren and more sneak peeks.

5 things under $15: Forever 21

This is a new blog and I was trying to think of a regular post I could do.. and with everyone in an economic crunch - 5 things under 20 bucks sounded good to me! In other words, revamp your closet with less than $75. First store I'm starting with, the cheap but trendy Forever21 which you can find across the country and online.

1) Leggings are still in this fall.. so why not get them for under $5?! I even paid more for these things at Target!

2) Flats are another must have for fall but they can be expensive depending on where you buy them at. These bad babies are less than $10.

3) This look was especially hot for summer - pair it with a cardigan and flats. Add some leggings. You have a cute fall look!

4) Scarves! Still cute for an added burst of color for your basic tees.

5) Sheer shirts! Hot hot hot!

Cowboy Boots

One person commented about the plaid shirts, "that she didn't want to look like a farmer." Now that's exactly how I first felt about cowboy boots. There's so many cute ways you can wear them though, read on!

The most girly way I've seen is of course with a dress, a la Taylor Swift.

She pairs her boots with cute summery dresses, but with fall coming up you can still steal this style with leggings. A big trend is thick, patterned leggings that you can wea
r even in the winter! I have found them at H&M, but if you like to shop online, stockingirl.com has a GREAT selection. I like this look with simple boots, either a bright dress or leggings, and a cardigan.

Just remember Taylor Swift is a country star and can pull this look off daily and we common folk should just wear them every once in awhile. To avoid looking over-the-top, unless you're going to a country concert, then don't pair these with daisy dukes or the plaid shirts in the previous post, or you will look like you just got off the farm.

The most classic cowboy boot look is under jeans. This is very easy to wear, but I suggest jeans with more of a flare so your calves don't look bulky because of the thickness at the top of the boot.

You can also wear those new denim leggings or bust out your skinny jeans and wear the boots over the jeans. Again, don't wear plaid or big belts to tone-down the farmer look. Try to pair with something a little more edgier.
