Greatest Idea EVER?

So I've heard of renting bags and having to return them in a week or what not, but honestly, I like to keep my bags so that idea wasn't the greatest BUT now there is a dress rental site. I was one of those girls in high school that always fell in love with the most expensive prom dresses, homecoming dresses, etc and I wish this site would've been around 16, maybe then I wouldn't be like Katherine Heigl of 27 Dresses... even now I have a closet full of dresses for events and weddings that I'm quite sure I'll never wear again - but now I'll never have to worry again!

Why you ask? RentTheRunway.com allows you to rent that latest catwalk dress you've been eyeing but know you can't afford. Prices range from $50-200 and the dress comes delivered to your door in not one but two sizes just in case! I know I'm not the richest girl out there, but I will certainly be looking like I am now. Hallelujah RTR!
Think I can pull this off at a frat party?

  1. Oh my gosh this is the most brilliant idea EVER!! Gowns are so expensive and I hate wearing them again to to other events b/c I want to wear something different! This is perfect!

  4. Delivering in two sizes is extremely clever. I own precisely zero fancy dresses and might well need this service one day!

  5. That's awesome, especially the two sizes thing. It makes sense, since we often buy cocktail dresses and only wear them once or twice.

  6. Fab idea! I would totally spill something on whatever I rented though. Ah ha. I wore vintage to my first fraternity formal. : )

  7. This is really a great idea! I have the hardest time finding my size, so if they could find it, that would be great. I wonder if you really, really liked something if you could purchase it?
