Charlotte Russe or L.A.M.B.?

So not only is my obsession with shoes becoming more apparent to me but also finding look-a-likes for waaaay cheaper than my favorite designers. Charlotte Russe is having a huge sale right now so I went in there the other day and find these designer look-a-likes! Can you figure out which is the $356 pair (on sale) and which is the under $30?! Probably, but still, a girl has to pay rent!

5 things - Charlotte Russe

Originally I first posted 5 things under 15 but now I've come to see that's a little bit tricky... so how about 5 things under $20?! We'll go with Charlotte Russe since I was just there yesterday and practically wanted to buy the whole dang place.

1) I bought this actually and have it on today with leggings and flip-flops. Simple and cute! The top is only $16.99.

2.) I love when things are already layered for me! I do not love when you can totally tell. This you can't AT ALL. It's $19.99 for the solid top and vest.

3) Some might say I have too many tops... but that's not a bad thing. Another pretty top you can wear out on the town or to class! On sale for $11.19!

4) Ok so I didn't fall in love with this immediately but I really needed some new clothes for my study tour so I tried it on.. and I loved it! Another item on sale for only $16.09.

5) And last but not least, you need something to go under the clothes! This pretty bra is only $7! Get a pair of panties and $3 and you're still under 20!

LBD

With fall coming, you're going to need more layers on but don't put away that little black dress of yours just yet. Using just a simple black strapless dress, you can do tons. This one from Forever21 is only $22.80 and you can create over 5 different looks with it.

1) The first look is for daytime, just adding a crop jacket. I liked this one, also from Forever21. Add some over the knee boots and it's a cute outfit you can even wear to work. (Boots from
Victorias secret, click on links)

2) The next look is just for a night out - add a flashy belt and heels (both from steve madden) and voila!

3) For a third look, a chunky sweater, wide belt, and metallic flats which are very hot right now - you can wear this look just about anywhere. The flats are on the pricier side, found at Nordstrom's, but I LOVE them!

4) The 4th option is another going out/date look where a big statement necklace makes your outfit. Pair with your favorite color heels and steal the show.

5) And the last, but definitely not least way to dress up your LBD is with a yellow blazer - Blair Waldorf style. Add some laceup oxfords for a preppy twist to the LBD. Have fun with it girls!

Cowboy Boots

One person commented about the plaid shirts, "that she didn't want to look like a farmer." Now that's exactly how I first felt about cowboy boots. There's so many cute ways you can wear them though, read on!

The most girly way I've seen is of course with a dress, a la Taylor Swift.

She pairs her boots with cute summery dresses, but with fall coming up you can still steal this style with leggings. A big trend is thick, patterned leggings that you can wea
r even in the winter! I have found them at H&M, but if you like to shop online, stockingirl.com has a GREAT selection. I like this look with simple boots, either a bright dress or leggings, and a cardigan.

Just remember Taylor Swift is a country star and can pull this look off daily and we common folk should just wear them every once in awhile. To avoid looking over-the-top, unless you're going to a country concert, then don't pair these with daisy dukes or the plaid shirts in the previous post, or you will look like you just got off the farm.

The most classic cowboy boot look is under jeans. This is very easy to wear, but I suggest jeans with more of a flare so your calves don't look bulky because of the thickness at the top of the boot.

You can also wear those new denim leggings or bust out your skinny jeans and wear the boots over the jeans. Again, don't wear plaid or big belts to tone-down the farmer look. Try to pair with something a little more edgier.
Now where to buy these cute boots without breaking the bank? (Click the link)
